the story

The casa came to life in 1915 and has spent the days since on a tree-lined street in Boulder, Colorado. It underwent a major renovation in the early 90′s, when the top floor bedrooms, bath and living area were built. A separate meditation studio was added later. We moved here in 2007. During that time period we renovated an office in downtown Boulder, but we have yet to paint even one wall in this house. And the walls? All beige.

So, begins our journey of taking a funky house with great bones, loads of character and a whimsical spirit (Wouldn’t you totally date this house?) and turning it into the place we’ve always imagined. Our goal is to do it cost effectively and sustainably, and to make it a place for a man, woman, varying numbers of almost grown children, 2 cuddly labrador retrievers and at least one ghost to comfortably coexist. Oh, and to chronicle it all here to share with those who find it interesting. Thanks for stopping by.

I am also a Creative Director, here’s my portfolio.
